An interesting read, and knowing how much sleep we [don't] get, thought you might enjoy this to lighten the mood.

Here is the Wiki article: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nootropic
It breaks them down by category.
Nitric oxide is a vasodilator. This makes it a nootropic because it enhances blood flow to the brain, which improves memory. Most people don't know this because it is marked as a pre-workout supplement.
Read the article. It misses the critical causation/correlation concept. It's likely that more intelligent people are from families with more money, hence they can afford to liberally purchase drugs and sex toys while unemployed in college. No idea about the sleep, but it might have something more to do with the higher workload, or familial or cultural pressures that keep them up at night with stress.
To me it sounds like a poorly interpreted study.
I hate these types of articles/'studies'. It seems they are published just so people can feel better about themselves only wanting to party and have fun and not work or study. Look at the Forbes list and I guarantee 90%+ of them wake up before 7:30AM.
I agree. I think I saw some post on like Forbes or BI that revealed some of the daily routines of some billionaires and it showed that most wake up at 4-6AM. I highly doubt that there's an actual correlation between smart people and whether they do drugs at 3AM or not. Although, even if there is a correlation, correlation doesn't imply causation.
