Smartphone App Ideas Anyone?
So I'm in my last semester of school with a job offer....and I have a ton of free time. So much that I really need something productive to do. I have programming experience and want to make a smartphone app - but don't know what to make. Any ideas?
I am self-taught so anything 3D or crazy advanced probably wont be possible. I do have web services experience though.

I actually did this a few years ago and it was an awesome experience, maybe I will try it again sometime. Met people in the local startup scene so if anything its a good networking opportunity. Would recommend it to anyone.
We all have that friend (or friends) who, when you show them a picture on your phone, they inevitably swipe left or right. Make an app that, when it's "toggled", either will not let those peeping idiots swipe left/ right, or will do something funny like take a picture of them automatically when they swipe and show that as the next picture.
Not sure if it's doable as an app though. I imagine it's definitely doable with rooted android + tasker app, but for iPhone as an app that can run on non-jailbroken phones... I'm not sure.

Hate when you show someone a pic, and before you know it they've swiped 5 pics to the right, asking " who is this girl", "where was this pic taken", "how do you know these people"!!! Just look at the 1 pic I wanted to show you and give me my phone back!!!
I'm working on developing an app that allows users to anonymously communicate to others within a tight gps proximity. They can post random thoughts or about things going on in that small radius. I'm hoping it catches on at college campuses.
