Think you answered your own question, unless the university you're at has better brand name recognition than anywhere you could transfer to.....which it doesn't because no FL university that's recognizeable fits your description.
Also "big fish in a small pond" is overrated. I'm with Jack Welch on this one: you never want to be the smartest person in the room.
