Stephen Schwartzman HKS student roundtable (2008)
Talking about:
- 1. The failures of your own expectations...
- 2. Are [strong] opinioned ("people that march on their own drum") the best crop in finance ? Not necessary...
- 3. Academia is designed for rational people, and,
- 4. Good question for those who want to go into public service: "Are you independently wealthy ?" When you get mostly "nos" too that, where does that lead you ?
- 5. How Sun Valley, ID became a sky resort.
- 6. Most people do truly entrepreneurial things maybe only once in their lifetime...
- 7. In the real world (as opposed to in school), A is the only acceptable grade. No B+s, A-s.
Note: Mr. Schwartzman's statement that "He'll never be smarter or as smart as he was at 32 or 33" is really a form of self-flattery.
