Summer 2016 Football (Soccer) Transfers

So, let's talk about our two passions combined, football and finance.

I'll start with the big transfers so far but you can feel free to comment on those you find interesting or rumours for potential new ones.

Let's start with the most expensive so far, Higuain from Napoli to Juventus for 90 mil €.
The city of Naples is understandably pissed off, but Higuain obviously wants to win something and Juventus is trying to build a big team for the next champions league.
Higuain last year also broke a 40 years old record for goals in Serie A and he's at the peak of his career, it's now or never for him. Expensive sign, probably worth it.

Juventus also signed Croatian wonderkid Pjaca for 20 Mil € and Pjanic for 30.

Moving the wealthies league, the English Premier:
Ibrahimovic joins Mourinho at Man Utd.
They worked together only for one year before, but Ibra reportedly ''would kill'' if Mourinho asked him to.
Pain in the ass player, doesn't play for the team but for himself, but he has the ultra competitive personality and winning mentality Man Utd needs badly.

Last year's top t shirts seller Martial is likely to be benched in his favour and might leave. He's way too discountinous to play with Mourinho anyway. Same goes for Depay.
Man Utd also invested big on Mkhitaryan, 30 mil € from Dortmund, good sign and Eric Bailly from Villareal 38 mil €, overexpensive.

Their city rivals Man City respond with Guardiola as manager, and the usual massive investments:
Nolito 18 mil € from Celta Vigo
Gundogan 25 mil € from Dortmund, great sign at a relatively low price and Leroy Sane, 45 mil €, another over expensive sign.

Chelsea, after last year's epic failure, starts over with Conte as the new manager and expensive signings: Batshuayi for 40 mil from Marseille and Kantè from the surprise Leicester for 36.

Arsenal fans will be happy to see Wenger is actually buying someone for once, Granit Xhaka, for 45 mil as well.

Liverpool is active as well, wasting money (imo) on Wijnaldum for 30 and Sadio Mane for 41 mil respectively.

Moving to Spain,
Barcelona works on the defense, signing def midfielder Andre Gomes, great sign though expensive (50 Mil) and Samuel Umtiti (25, good sign considering he's really young)

Real Madrid is semi inactive so far and only bought Morata back from Juventus for 30 mil.

Finally Germany where Bayern or Buyern Munich as usual buys off the competition, taking Hummels from Dortmund for 38 and Renato Sanches from Benfica for 35 mil €

Dortmund tries to respond by signing back Goetze for 26, but also German nationals Rode for 13, Schurrle for 30.

Chinese teams have been also really active, signing a number of upper tier names hoping to catch up with Europe soon, I value their league at this point as more competitive than the MLS and on par with medium tier leagues of Europe.

Top names include:
Papyss Cissè, former Newcastle, Pellè former Southampton, Hulk, former Zenit, Jackson Martinez, former Atletico Madrid, Gervinho, former Roma, Ramires, former Chelsea, Alex Teixeira, former Shachtar, Fredy Guarin, former Inter, Lavezzi, former PSG.

You can notice lots of South American players have moved to China attracted by the loads of money they are pouring in.
