Heading there on Friday. I'll be there for 4 or 5 days and then heading to New Zealand for a week and a half. Any recommendations on things to do, places to go?

Bondi beach is overrated in my opinion but should be done in one afternoon.
I lived in Coogee beach which is another cool beach town but can be skipped.
Definitely do Sydney harbour and the Rocks area. If you're going out at all, make sure to hit the Ivy in the rocks area.
Also, make sure to go out in King's cross one night in Sydney. Area is awesome, and definitely an experience.
As for NZ, I hope you're going to queenstown. It's the best city in NZ.
