Tax in the US

I have an opportunity to move to the US at the fund I work for. Possible offices are in NY, FL and CA.

I'm trying to understand how taxes work to figure out how much my purchase power would change if I take this opportunity, as my country does not have high income taxes.

Been doing some research but explanations seem odd. Can someone explain how much tax you actually pay in FL, CA and NY?

Thanks in advance
