Question 1
Ganpat is found dead in his office at his desk. Sherlock Holmes was working on this case and have narrowed the suspects down to three people:
1. His Friend Mr Rakesh Gupta
2. Ganpat's wife "Bhawna"
3. His Secretary "Jason Kumar"
All three suspects visited Ganpat on the day of his murder for various reason. Soon after arriving at the scene of the crime, Sherlock finds a note at the corner of the wall with "7B91011" written on it. Sherlock waste no time in announcing the killer. Who was the killer?
Question 2
In a contest, four fruits (an apple, a banana, an orange, and a pear) have been placed in four closed boxes (one fruit per box). People may guess which fruit is in which box. 123 people participate in the contest. When the boxes are opened, it turns out that 43 people have guessed none of the fruits correctly, 39 people have guessed one fruit correctly, and 31 people have guessed two fruits correctly. How many people have guessed three fruits correctly, and how many people have guessed four fruits correctly?
Good Luck!
Your hint is pretty clever but your code is a little borked. Move the " inside the parentheses and put a ' on either side of alert and the last parantheses.
Was just fixing the code but now that you've replied to it, I think it makes it uneditable.
for the fruit one, are the numbers inclusive or exclusive? Of the 39 that guessed one fruit right, are there 31 of them that guessed 2 fruit correctly as well? Because technically, if you guess two fruit right, you also guessed 1 fruit right as well.
That was my concern as well, didn't say it but does that mean it was left out on purpose?
Assuming...
Going the route of them being exclusive, I guess it would be more of "teaser" and not some complicated pattern, or math problem like it would be if it were inclusive.
You got it!
43 people guessed none of them correctly. Which means 80 guessed at least one correctly.
that fruit one was great, definitely made me laugh out loud when I got it, sb for you!
