The drumpfy origin story
Wanna know why I’m so hard on COVID restrictions?
So my fiancé was basically raised by her grandparents because her mom was a very young widow after a car accident. And in July, they both got COVID along with her aunt who is disabled mentally. They are communists who do the opposite of what Putin does so naturally they wouldn’t take the vaccine. And then they got it.
All 3 of them were on ventilators and lost some lung capacity, despite healthy and not too old. Her grandfather took the longest to recover, but eventually got better. But her grandmother had serious mental health issues. It started with her being very rude and distant but it got much much worse. Eventually she began yelling at everyone, and going crazy, convinced people will kill her. She also began not eating and starving herself until she looked tiny and bony, basically committing suicide in slow motion. Last night she went crazy and had to be physically restrained and taken to an asylum and she was just staring at people and begging not to. I think the only reason she even got in is because her brother used to be the deputy finance minister for the army or something like that. It’s been so hard on my poor fiancé and on me too. Nobody should have to see that.
So that’s why I’m so strict about vaccine mandates and stuff like that. Even if there’s a 99% chance of survival, there are tons of side effects. 1 in 3 Covid survivors have mental health issues. Can permanently damage the blood vessels in your dick giving you ED. Also The vaccine is much safer, it’s just MRNA which leaves your body quickly. So please don’t fuck with Covid!
I was originally just gonna reply "cool story bro" and get all the "funny" SB's but I couldn't help but feel like that would make me more worse of a person. I feel for you and your fiance, and I agree that the possible side-effects for covid likely outweigh the possible side-effects of the vaccine. While there is a philosophical/moral/personal-freedom related reason not to take the vaccine, there really isn't any scientific reason not to. I think at this point, people are searching for a scientific reason to fit their existing belief system to support not taking it. Saying this as a conservative, I know it's a hot take.
On a less serious note, it seems like your mail-order bride comes from the upper echelons of Russian society? Relative is a deputy finance minister in a country run almost exclusively by former-KGB oligarchs? Damn. I wish I could marry as rich as you.
cool story intern
Dude his fiance is a mail-order bride from Russia who's marrying him to get a greencard. Don't feel too bad
.
I read the story but this doesn’t really justify the sort of things you say.
1) Vaccine mandates are a debate of constitutionality and what sort of precedent it leaves open. You can support vaccines but be anti-mandate
2) You shouldn’t be discouraging alternate treatments if this is your personal anecdote. Outside the bucket of the 3 vaccines other treatments and supplements are seen as conspiracy theories to you. Shouldn’t you want more treatments to be found apart from the vaccine knowing the effects of Covid?
3) Calling people idiots, dumb, and other terms (which you commonly refer Trumpers to) isn’t encouraging anyone to get vaccinated if that’s what your posts are trying to do. Looking down snobbishly at the masses from your ivory tower and insulting them to fall in line is hardly a meaningful persuasion tactic.
4) You present cherry picked/inaccurate data to make your claims and then don’t respond or try to quickly pivot to another data point (which may or may not also be flawed).
5) You’re only able to analyze the data from one lens (Covid solely) and usually ignore any attempts to talk about side effects from economic lockdowns , reduced capacity and other restrictive measures. You mention about the mental health issues after getting Covid but what about the mental health issues that everyone has faced the past 18 months due to these restrictive measures? I’m not advocating for a free for all but my point is there needs to be a balance.
1. It was never a constitutional problem when children needed vaccines to go to school or soldiers needed vaccines to serve. It only became a problem for this vaccine, because of right-wing misinformation.
2. Yes, but people are avoiding treatments that work for treatments that are unproven like horse dewormer just because they want to feel right.
3. The fact is, most unvaccinated people believe in absurd conspiracies. Polling has shown most of them believe in microchips
https://www.newsweek.com/survey-shows-majority-unvaccinated-americans-b…
4. What sources are not cherry picked or biased to you? I can show you a video of Hannity telling his viewers to get the shot (guess he realized he was killing his own fanbase)
5. Lockdowns and such are mostly there to protect the unvaccinated, because they’re the ones spreading and dying from it.
1) I have already pointed out several times that those vaccines have had exemptions for religious/philosophical reasons which were allowed on the CDC's website. Of course there's also an issue of scope, when it comes from the national government. This doesn't even get into vaccine passports.
2) Again, why does this matter to you? If they become healthy through a fringe treatment or taking more Vitamin D, so what? Worth pointing out that your horse de-wormer article was quite literally debunked.
3) You're attempting to argue with me about whether the people are less intelligent or not, but that's irrelevant to the argument I was making
4) I never said anything about bias. Cherry picked means using odd cutoffs (32%) that were shown to be strategic in nature or providing articles that were quite literally debunked (the horse de-wormer article). Your parenthetical comment here really shows how you group all conservatives.
5) Moot point because the mental distress started March of last year, which is when the lockdowns started.
1. That would make sense if the Covid vaccine actually stopped the transmission of the virus. The current version does not, so you cannot compare them to the other vaccines.
Straight from the CDC director "the vaccine does not prevent transmission" https://mobile.twitter.com/ANTHONYBLOGAN/status/1444390327884947461
2.Ivermectin is not a horse dewormer.
3. Newsweek poll? Not thanks
5. Again, the vaccine does not prevent spread of the virus, see above.
How do you define a mental health issue, and what timeline is it based on?
"Because 50% of Americans will suffer from a diagnosable mental health disorder sometime in their lifetime."

701K on deaths. Do I hear 750k by the end of the year? I think we can get there. Yes we can.
It's amazing how little these "patriots" care about their own country
