The future of Mankind according to Elon
What did you guys think about Elon's presentation about transforming humans into an interplanetary species in 6 years? According to him, we have two choices. To stay on earth forever and perish eventually in mass extinction, or to protect the species and become space faring, and sustainable.
"The main reason I'm personally accumulating assets is in order to fund this," he said at the 67th annual International Astronautical Conference in Guadalajara, Mexico."So I really don't have any other motivation for personally accumulating assets except to be able to make the biggest contribution I can to making life multi-planetary."
While it all seems great, the one thing he is short of right now is money, a lot of it. He is already bleeding himself dry with the Tesla/SolarCity merger and building the giga factory, not to mention the SpaceX rocket that exploded just a few weeks ago.
So how is this even possible, especially in just 6 years. Will Elon Musk be able to accomplish sustainable space travel?
