The 'Game of Thrones' season 7 premiere was pirated a staggering 90 million times

The first episode of "Game of Thrones" season 7 was a massive success, and has been watched through official channels more than 16 million times since its debut last Sunday — the most for a premiere in HBO's history.

But that figure pales in comparison to the number of times it has been pirated.

According to piracy analysis company MUSO, the 71st episode of the fantasy epic TV series been illegally viewed over 90 million times across the globe.

When will these companies will realize that if they ditch the subscription model and just offer a low-cost “pay-per-play” model they could bring in way more revenue. Especially sports providers, I almost always have to stream European soccer matches because my cable provider doesn’t air them. If the leagues streamed them on YouTube I’d pay a couple bucks to watch each game or a lump sum for a season pass.

It's not even about the money. I have enough fucking apps and companies to keep track of. I have my Anthony Bourdain flash drive and I have my Handmaid's Tale flash drive. And then I have Netflix and Amazon... Just finished watching that Amazon Top Gear. Pretty enjoyable. And watched Ari Shaffir's new special on NFLX the last two nights. Second part was better than the first. He's not that funny, but enjoyable to listen to. Might watch a fucking action movie tonight, who knows! Wife's out of town so I don't have to watch garbage.
