I can't think of a better time to be having an internship... start practicing getting girls in bed, you'll have an abundance of opportunity over the summer.
Getting accommodation or travelling near Canary Wharf will be tough....

Canary Wharf will be a shit storm. Expect the tube stations to be over flowing. Its probably best to get a place a stop or two away or rent within walking distance.
If you are in the City, well, don't expect McDonalds nor do you want to bring that back to your desk haha. On another note, you should be ok congestion wise unless you get the tourists coming to St Pauls which will happen and that will screw lunch up for you.
Go with the safer bet and eat in. Its not so bad.
