I've read it. I liked it. I'm not a mathematician at all but thought it was a good and easy to understand read.
decent read.
I've read almost all of his work --- or at least what I could understand.
I would recommend reading Nassim Taleb before you get to Mandelbrot.
Mandelbrot = the man, IMHO.
taleb is a big mandelbrot fan.
what do you think of The Intelligent Investor by Graham? im an amateur investor and would like to read some books about the topic. so far ive only read Pat Dorsey's book, you guys probably arent familiar with it but its a good read for beginners, but its a crappy title that has nothing to do with the book... "The Five Rules for Successful Stock Investing" i think its called
intelligent investor is the best book ever written on investing.
haha powerful words. guess i made a good pick then. can you recommend anything else?
mmm I guess I gotta pick up Intelligent Investor too. I have read both of Taleb's books already and he seems to love Mandelbrot himself.
