Haven't seen the movie, but read the book several years ago. This is a mind tricking mechanism. You think positively, therefor your behavior and actions are positive as well. Also keeps you focused on the things you desire most. More focused you are, more likely you are to achieve. The book displays a lot of outlandish miracles to get people on board, but miracles or no miracles you will be a happy and more enjoyable person practicing the teachings.
I've read the book. Quite interesting really. I agree with Hundge, it's all about positive thinking and stuff. I always think you have to believe in this stuff to make it work.
Watched a few minutes of it but I think I can figure out the essential message:
Think positive thoughts, negatives will only bring you down Set up goals Get off your lazy ass and DO something to achieve those goal.
Like every other self-help books/movies.
