The Wolf of Wall Street MOVIE coming!
Details on the movie adaption of The Wolf of Wall Street is expected to be announced at Cannes in May.
The movie pic is getting some seriously coveted people attached to it. Adapted by Terence Winter (Sopranos, Boardwalk Empire), Martin Scorsese is expected to direct and Leonardo DiCaprio as Jordan Belfort. Can't go wrong, can it?
So what do you people think? After the so-so Wall Street 2, could this be the next big movie about the financial industry?
Wall Street 2 was absolute tears....so given that the bar is set low for recent films about Wall Street this new flick can't really go too wrong.
My favorite actor, my favorite director, my favorite book (entertainment wise). Couldn't be more excited.
I saw it the first time when it was called Boiler Room
this. im actually reading the book now and its frustrating how much it seems to parallel boiler room. (or did boiler room parallel the book? i have no idea which one came first)
it's got Leo and Scorsese so it can't go wrong
Leo has been pretty selective in his recent films so there is a good chance that this one will be a keeper. And Rain Maker has it right, Wall Street 2 sucked.
Wall Street 2 did not suck! People don't have an open mind when watching it because they're so stuck on the first one.
I'll believe this movie is coming out when the announcement is official... I've hear about Leo and Scorsese being involved for a couple of years and still nothing has happened with it. Every time I see something about this I seem to get excited for nothing

The book is a joke, terrible writing. I don't think this guy's story deserves a movie based on it.
The book was awesome. Cant wait to see the movie, especially the scene with him sinking the helicopter of his boat...

The book was ridiculous. There are !!!!!! in almost every sentence.
This summer I bought about 10 Wall Street based books and that was the only one I couldnt finish, it just was too much fiction for what I like. I will see the movie though if it comes out.
I like how books like this seem to encite so much rage, either for or against it, from people on wall street.
Personally, I think that Vince Vaughn would make a better Jordan Belfort than Leonardo Dicaprio.

Robert Downey Jr. would fit too. Dicaprio isn't as versatile an actor.
