I don't think I need to explain why this is disturbing. The pictures on that site speak for themselves.

Moreover, I was referring to the notion that certain cultures (or sub-culture) promote disturbing behaviors and dangerous group-think. In that culture, you are expected to endure physical pain and engage in those weird activities because it is the cultural norm to do so.

My point is that sometimes people do weird shit, but that's not always their fault.
