Time spent actually working
What percentage of time does everyone spend ACTUALLY cranking at work, and what percentage are you jumping between work and something like WSO, and what percentage of time are you totally just screwing around?

I'd say in a given week I probably only do 15 minutes of real, actual work.
Well done DontMakeMe.
Interested in hearing the answer to this too though.
I come in through the side door, that way Lumbergh can't see me.
While I love the Office Space reference... I was actually looking to get some real responses to this?
What kind of work are you talking about? Corporate finance or ibanking?
A typical day I am in the office about 13 hours, of which I would estimate 1.5-2 hrs is spent not doing "work". This includes, lunches, coffees, waiting for comments on my books, or listening in on a call.
During my banking years, I spent a good 90% of my time working (excluding time when I was eating). We didn't have a face time policy, so we were incentivized to work and just get the heck out. Obviously it was important to relax every now and then and read the WSJ or WSO, but sleep was far more important. When extremely busy, I'd have someone else pick lunch up for me and I'd eat dinner at my desk.
