Real estate is starting to look better, at least down here in Florida. I have seen a few housing developments that were dumped in 2008 and now construction has begun on them again.

The majority of the ones I've noticed are gated subdivisions.
I sole some 2008 positions, and bought Apple in the mid/low 500s the other week. Bought some intel before the election due to the 4.3% dividend yield at the time and got crushed so far as it dropped to under $20. So much for dividend play with Obama proposed tax hikes on my previous 4%+ dividend yield.
