Title pretty much says it all, looking for advice on how to proceed with the CFA institute.
Basically ,had my fitbit on during the first half of the exam, when I came back for the second before starting a proctor told me to take it off which I did (stupid on my part I know, but in my mind didn't think of it as a smartwatch). Scores were released today, found out I will have to wait two to three months to have my score released. Looking for advice, if anyone has gone through this before or dealt with the CFA review board, and what would be the best way to proceed. Also looking for success or failure stories (kinda bummed too bc I don' t know if I passed or failed).
Unfortunately, hate to admit it. Having the fitbit on your wrist causes concern. You're not a bad person. It's just a silly mistake. It is similar to having an iPhone on your desk during an exam. I hope everything goes well but worst of worst, just take it again. They have assumption that it is a smart watch and you gain an advantage. You're fine, it is not a big deal. Just take it again in the future in June or December.
I thinking that's worse case scenario, my two thoughts are:
I think you should just be honest and say I accidentally wore my fitness watch to the exam and I am interested in taking the exam again. This incident won't happen again. I apologize and I am sorry for the inconvenience. Honestly is the best policy.
