Top 3 Contrarian Resources

I thought it might be useful to list a few of the resources that I like to read to try and get more of a contrarian viewpoint (granted, me putting these out there makes them more main stream…which is precisely the opposite, but try not to dwell on that fact).

  • Zerohedge is a blog that is very cynical about everything, and I only read it for an extreme viewpoint - but I think many of the posts are pretty interesting will definitely make you question mainstream thinking.
  • John Bogle's Blog blows me away. This guy is 84 years old, still incredibly articulate (watch the Bloomberg clip), and clearly lays out all that is wrong with active portfolio management through mutual funds for the average investor nowadays.
  • TED Talks provide material from outside the finance community and shows what real, value-add work means.

Enjoy.
