Travel Insurance for Work-Related Reasons?

I booked a trip for late May and I may or may not be able to go due to active deals. Has anyone used "cancel for work reasons" or "cancel for any reason" insurance before and been successfully reimbursed? Any recommendations? It seems like most travel insurance providers will do anything to not reimburse you, arguing that the event wasn't unforeseen.

One of the reasons listed for the cancel for work-related reasons is M&A, just don't know about the unforeseen aspect:

We will pay a benefit, up to the maximum shown on the Schedule of Benefits, if You are prevented from taking Your Covered Trip due to any of the Unforeseen Events listed below: (c) Your company is directly involved in a merger or acquisition. You must be an active employee of the company(ies) that is/are merging and You must be directly involved in such an event.
