Literally millions of answers to this question. What do you like? Restaurants - do you want Michelin stars, local specialties, authentic subregional ethnic joints, best bang for your buck, most likely to see celebrities? Nightlife - bottle service clubs, dive bars, raves, late night poetry slams (no, really)? Museums - do you want informative, artistic, pictureworthy? Music - famed venues, underground sounds, jazz bars, dinner and a band? Touristy stuff - observation decks, noteworthy buildings, famous movie / TV scenes? Vibes - kitschy, grungy, elegant? Shopping - 5th Ave flagships, Soho boutiques, LES vintage, Midtown Christmas markets? Want to experience the classic vision of NYC (core Manhattan) or want to see the outer boroughs?
All non-exhaustive, NYC's a lot of fun (December especially if you like the holiday vibes) but we can't plan your trip to one of the most visited cities in the world. With specific asks we might be able to make some specific recommendations
I recommend Dorsia
This is good advice, but it is so hard to get reservations there.
I know a guy who can help you. He is an assistant Junior Director in the wealth management arm of a top tier bank. He has prior back office experience at the same top tier bank. He has only been in NYC a few months but he has already conquered it (well, he lives in jersey city but same thing).
Paging the one, the only, GoingToBeAnMD
Hahaha
lol 😂
Can you narrow it down? Museums? Restaurants? Tourist locations?
I mean, Times Square is iconic, and if you've never been, it's probably worth it to walk through for 5 minutes, but I wouldn't recommend doing anything there. Ditto Rockefeller Center now that the tree is up.
It's just that there is a lot to do, and it depends what you seek out when you travel.
Go to sugar hill in Harlem and play this song called “Notti Bop”. Everyone will love you!
Definitely get off Manhattan to one of the boroughs if you want to see the Manhattan skyline, as you can't get a view of it while on the island. The easiest and cheapest way to do this is to take the Staten Island Ferry or to take a subway to Dumbo. And definitely go to one of the observation decks. I didn't because I didn't want to fork over the $30-$40 since I was a poor student at the time and I regret it now
I’d highly recommend the edge in Hudson Yards. Costs like $40 to go up to the 100th+ floor outdoor observatory. Incredible views of the city and really amazing
