Axios reported receiving a PowerPoint presentation outlining arguments and a plan for the federal government nationalizing a 5G infrastructure for the nation, primarily to combat Chinese cyber capabilities. I'm curious to hear monkeys' thoughts either for or against such a proposal. Are there important differences between this infrastructure and physical infrastructure (e.g., the interstate highway system) that mean we should treat it fundamentally differently? Or is this a good idea in a situation where we have to join 'em if we can't beat 'em (in this case China)?
