Trump selling DC Hotel

Today CNBC reported that the Trump Org. Is exploring the sale of their Washington DC hotel. I think the name of it is the Scion. Once hearing this news I did a Google Search. What I found was an article on CNN posted 19 hours ago that states the House Committee has subpoenaed the GSA for documents related to the hotel.

Is this a coincidence? You can call me a cynic, but I feel is this purely a defensive play by the Trump Org to get ahead of the news involved with the hotel. By releasing the news of the sale they can control the news. Drowning the subpoena news and redirecting the google searches to the sale of the hotel.

I'm not very political, but I'm not a fan of 45 However, I do not consider myself a Dem or Rep.

Is it right for me to be a skeptic of all the White press releases? This isn't limited to 45. I think diversions, distractions, and misinformation has always been going on, but current Admin has taken it to another level.
