University of Michigan Cursed Football Team

Have to get this off my mind. Great business school at Ross but holy fuck is there football team cursed. How you beat Ohio State, and lose to fucking TCU in the playoffs. After seeing TCU get the worst ass whooping on national television, how did Michigan lose to TCU. Still haven't forgotten about how embarrassing that shit was.

Michigan didn’t have the superior athletes compared to TCU quite like Georgia did. Michigan might’ve had a size advantage on the OL, but TCU’s 3-3-5 defense does a good job of slowing down run games, which Michigan relied on all year. TCU’s defense was something unlike anything Michigan ever sees in the big ten, but it’s becoming more popular across CFB. I could write a novel on the 3-3-5 but you get the point.

Georgia had athletic and size advantages at every position matchup, and TCU just couldn’t match up. I think TCU probably would’ve made it less of a beat down if they still had their RB, but it still would’ve been pretty lopsided.

God's sanest cokehead

This guy knows ball. Only thing I'll add is that the lights were too bright for freshman McCarthy. I don't think the championship game would've been much different if Mich made it

Agreed. Georgia is the new Alabama. They are so stacked in the trenches which is what separates good teams from elite teams. Also, Georgia dominated 3/4 of the best teams they played. They curb stomped Oregon and the Tennessee score doesn’t do justice to how much they controlled that game.

I think the insane score the national championship game can be explained in part by Georgia not letting their foot off the gas considering all the come from behind wins TCU had.
