Untucked Shirts - Not Bad

When untucked shirts first came out, I was very skeptical about them and had no interest at all.  I wear mostly Banana Republic shirts and I am a pretty loyal customer of theirs.  Then, BR launched their version of untucked shirts.  I tried one and like it!  I like the regular BR dress shirts but they are very long and bunch up when tucked in and it sometimes looks kind of sloppy.  The nice thing about their untucked shirts is that there is no issue with bunching up[ and it makes for a better fit.  I think if you are average height and below, they are worth a try. If you are very tall, untucked may not be good for you.

Anyone else here try them?

I just googled it and the shirts look unprofessional for a work setting. The amount you dress up shows how much you care about a certain event (apart from wanting to look good). Those untucked shirts give me the vibe that you are just casual about work and don’t really care.

These days, they are perfect for work.  Most people are business casual these days.

Perfect for home office casual = shirt + sweatpants

Sounds like a good plan.  I do video meetings for a good portion of the day,  so I usually wear jeans or khakis just in case I have to stand up.

These are perfect for this environment. Pre-covid I might have said there's no point getting a shirt which doesn't really satisfy the needs of the role but now, fuck it, why not get something which is comfortable and still inconspicuous with the nuances which accompany zoom meetings?

I agree.   I do not wear suits, so when covid  goes away, I would still wear them.  I bought several dress shirts and a couple of casual ones. I have not worn a regular dress shirt since I started buying these.  You could probably get away with wearing one under a suit, as you can tuck in some of them
