I’m actually glad to see the Government moving to relieve small businesses and individual people. I was worried they’d just take the, “Sucks to not be a high earner who can work remotely!” route and make 2008 look like a joke.

I would like some additional information about taxes and payments due but the IRS is closed. Estimated payments for 2020 are also due on April 15th.

To my understanding the federal filing deadline and payment deadline have both been extended to July 15th.

Does this mean the states will follow the same deadline, or will you have to file an extension?

There are many states that are not following and their filing deadlines are unchanged.
