Vacation Suggestions (with GF)

I'm based in NY and am looking to take my first significant vacation since starting in the industry. I've traveled sparingly domestically since graduation (think long weekends in Nashville, Chicago, etc.), but am looking for to take a longer, more culturally unique vacation with my gf.

A summary of my criteria is below:

  • Length: ~5 days
  • Date: May
  • Type: Open to city, country, resort, etc. or a combo
  • Budget: ~$5k total (flights, lodging, etc.)
  • Other: Enjoy food/drink, want to get some sun, if we go to Europe a soccer game would be a must

A few ideas I've come up with are below:

  • San Juan, Puerto Rico
  • Portugal (Libson / Porto)
  • Madrid (Madrid / Seville / etc.)

I'm open to other suggestions. Thanks!
