I'm not vegetarian myself, but plenty of people are vegetarian for religious reasons. No need to knock people for following their religion.

(edited comment) not eating meat because of religious reasons doesnt make you a pussy, but I still don't get it

if you don't eat meat because some text from thousands of years said so, you need to learn critical thinking skills

So where do you draw the line on the usefulness of religion?  Do you think that anyone who follows a religion lacks critical thinking skills

Really weak take OP. I don’t think someone who works a cushy desk job can call anyone a pussy based off their diet. Knew a couple vegans in the Army when I was in who have done some really tough shit. What’s the hardest thing you have ever done? Study a couple extra hours to get a job in IB? Check yourself dude.

Also Clarence0 on YouTube is one crazy strong mf’er and he is vegan.

I've known a couple Indian guys who are vegetarians. They are both generally cool guys, and only let you know it when ordering team lunches, which we used to do quite often.  Granted, they were fund PMs, and easily part of the 0.1% here in America, nevermind India. (they bathed daily too, unlike some people on the subway) Don't knock somebody for making it harder on themselves based on their moral beliefs.

People who throw their vegetarianism in your face though?  Yes, I agree they're pricks.

EDIT: I'm not a vegetarian by a mile, but I used to hunt. The animals I've killed probably had a better life than your chicken sandwich, despite the fact that I'm a horrible shot and just winged half of them and had to wring their necks to put them out of their misery.  I know where meat comes from, and while I'm OK with continuing to eat it, I also get the decision not to.

The only difference between Asset Management and Investment Research is assets. I generally see somebody I know on TV on Bloomberg/CNBC etc. once or twice a week. This sounds cool, until I remind myself that I see somebody I know on ESPN five days a week.

I do not eat meat but I eat fish so technically I am not a vegetarian.  While I do not eat meat, I don't care one way or another what someone else eats.

To be semantic, I believe the term for that is that you're pescatarian.

Fish is actually quite good for you most of the time. (watch out for mercury)  Unfortunately I'm a bit picky about it, which I mostly attribute to my mother's overcooked salmon steaks when I was a child. (I also refuse to eat her pork pucks (chops) for the same reason even though I love pork) I don't like salmon in any way (too oily) and generally only like tuna in sushi rolls.  Most of the time I'm good with white fish though, even odd preparations like pickled herring. I'll eat crab but not lobster (too sweet) I also like oysters if they're raw, but cooked oysters are hit or miss for me.  I won't eat clams raw though (too chewy) but like fried clam strips. I also hate scallops.

A couple jobs ago there was this girl in the office nobody liked.  She was utterly incompetent, but kept her job because of her ahem "assets." She claimed to be pescatarian, but it was a running joke that she would eat any animal as long is it didn't look cute.

EDIT: Can you tell that I'm working on this completely dead day so that I can justify taking the rest of the year off?
