If you already own a current gen console, there's no reason to wait. Just take the plunge, it's a great game. The game will eventually release for next gen consoles, but why wait if the core of the game is going to be exactly the same? Who cares if it's graphically superior. You're not playing the game because it looks pretty. You're playing it because it's fun.

Upgrades are only gonna be like $10 so definitely get it now.

There is no date locked in yet for GTA5 on PS4 (would be sometime in 2014). I would get it now on current-gen console. It looks amazing and is probably a lock for game-of-the-year. If/when it is released on PS4, I hear there is a small trade up fee you pay if you own the PS3 version (won't have to rebuy new game at full price).

I decided to just pick up the GTAV bundle yesterday even though the PS4 is coming out soon. I don't feel like waiting for another 6-8 months to play and I don't play console games anyways so I'm not really excited for PS4.

I have been thinking quite some time now about getting a PS3 or PS4 for that matter. I haven't owned in console in like 8+ years, so I am really not up to date. What's the overall verdict for such a case: Buy PS3 now or wait for PS4?
