Wedding Gift Ideas
Got 4 pledge brother weddings this summer. I’m not in the “chosen few” of the wedding parties but they’re still good friends. They’re all 24 y/o from the south/midwest. Mostly Vineyard Vines wearing dudes, but not all are hyperbolically "frat." Struggling to come up with anything. Don’t want to give alcohol or pure cash (lame…). Could spend 50 at the very, very most per gift.

It somewhat depends on whether you want to get the gifts for just your friends or for the couple.
Thanks tech, good ideas. I should have mentioned I can only find the registry for one. I'm emailing my other bros and they can't find the 3 other registries either, odd. Got two of the weddings soon so if I can't find those registries I'm in need of ideas...

What are their religious/ethnic backgrounds? It might be easier to give cash on that fact alone if you don't know what to get. For Jewish couples, a cash gift in multiples of 18 is considered customary. For Indian couples, if I recall correctly, cash gifts ending in an auspicious number like 1 (ie $21, $51, $101) are more than fine as well. Cash isn't a bad option as it allows the bride and groom to get what they want/need. It's more the thought than anything else.
That said, I'd just find something on the registry and go with that as an option. Thrown down for 50 bucks worth of goods on the registry, or buy them a set of nice glassware if it's not already on the list. It's the best bet if you don't know what you want to get. Plus, it will save time on finding a gift and you will be getting something the betrothed couple will need.
Frieds, thanks man. These are southern/Midwestern WASPs, (not elitist douches though. and at 24 they're young) don't hold it against me/us ha. Where we're from, cash is considered a bit tacky unfortunately. Glassware is a good idea, I'm a little afraid they'll already have something that basic, but if they don't have a registry then oh well. I might go with that for one or two, either way thanks for the thoughts.
As it is, you're going to see all of them a lot less when they're married. However, if they have kids, you won't see them for years on end. With that in mind, just give $50 worth of condoms to each of them.

Wasn't sure where to put this.
Recently was networking with a local professional, and he talked about his wedding coming up. It was something we actually spent some time on, congratulations, etc.
I remember that it is October 25th. He paid for lunch. I followed up with a thank you note, etc.
Would it be weird to send an Amazon gift card for $25 and saying congratulations and thanking him once again later on during that week (not directly during or after). Being still in school I have a bit before applying places, so I didn't want to come off too soon or too crazy.
Gift card is not appropriate, but maybe a bottle of champagne?

No gift, it would just be weird. If you remember how long their honeymoon is you could plan on sending an email a week after he gets back saying hope you had a good time, congrats and hopefully have something else more business related to say (something like we talked about the xyz public deal and I heard this or had a thought about it).
I appreciate the thought but the gents are right, you don't need to send me anything, please save the money and buy a drink for some of the Dallas ladies instead.

Weird. $25 Amazon gift card is a super weird Wedding gift but forking out for an appropriate one might be more weird - nice thought but has more downside than up
