What are your buy-ins for your fantasy football leagues?
I'm in a few leagues + pools, my buy-ins generally range from $100 - $150. I've got some friends in finance though and heard about some of the big leagues downtown. Wondering what the typical buy-ins are. (I'm a co-founder at FantasyBuzzer dot com. We're a small NYC-based fantasy football startup, so not in the finance industry.)
Not in a football league, but my Baseball league is as such:
10 team league, 100 buy in each. Regular season champion 100 back. Final Tournament champion gets 700, second place gets 200.
I've never been a fan of this payout structure, but I've always gotten outvoted. Curious to hear what others do.
I'm in three leagues. I'd say the average buy-in is $150. Just enough to keep people checking in.
$100 buy-in for fantasy. $20/wk for pick league. One of my buddies on the desk is in a $1k league.
12 team league, $250 buy-in with yearly trip to Vegas for a draft But we've setup the payout structure such that a lot of people end up earning at least $75 - $150 back due to weekly / quarterly payouts for highest score, etc... Last year the guy that won took ALMOST every weekly / quarterly / season payout except the 2nd place payout which is $500. I forget his total winnings but it was close to $2250
12 team $250 buy-in with $50 to highest weekly scorer
12 team $150 buy-in - all to the victor
8 team $100 buy-in - $600 to the victor, $100 to second place, $100 to highest point total for the season (often the victor, but not always)
Looks like I need to step up my game though
