What are your opinions on this university society idea...

I'm a second year university student and I've decided to create a society that is not finance related, would like to hear your opinions on it....

What should I be concerned about and what would improve it!? Thanks so much for your help

MY PROPOSAL: A cooking club welcoming people of all cultures to share their cultural and original recipes with club members and the whole of University of XXXX (via Facebook) The general way in which the club will run is that members of the society will use our Facebook page to share recipe suggestions. The recipe with the highest number of ‘likes’ each week will be prepared the next week. We welcome suggestions on how original recipes can be modified on the web page. Society leader and subs will bring ingredients (hopefully we can get some university grant for this) to the three hour meeting sessions. During the sessions, members would be divided into small groups working together to prepare the chosen recipe and also sometimes create a modified version of recipe based on webpage suggestions. We will take pictures of us cooking the food and the final products and post on web-page. Hopefully this will attract more members and hopefully there will be events where we can make the recipes we’ve tried so that people outside the society can try it. The ultimate aim of this society besides it being a social scene for food and culture lovers, we aim to put these recipes together and make a University of XXXXX The Multi-Cultural Student Cookery Book

we should hopefully sell the book after...but I would really like to hear suggestions on how to get money for the ingredients
