Hey folks,
I recently enjoyed a 2-week excursion to Silicon Valley and - obviously - was surrounded by a bunch of tech nerds the entire time. Great people with a very different perspective on life.
They implored me to learn some kind of programming language. This got me to wondering: what is programming useful for? Would it be useful for a research analyst or just a risk guy? And what would I do with insane R coding skills?
I know that R is pretty popular and that people who know VBA probably get paid more than people who don't (though correlation=/=causation).
