What would you do with 1 Month Off

What would you all do if you just finished up your investment banking career, received a solid bonus and found yourself with 4-6 weeks off between banking and your next job.

Cost shouldn't be a huge factor, but the answer should be somewhat realistic (i.e. You can't charter a G4 to take you around the world, but assume you can also afford a decent trip somewhere).

I've heard of people taking off for Europe for weeks, going on gambling binges in Vegas, etc.

What would you do?

For what reasons though? It's always interesting to me that when asked where people would go they say Dubai.

Cheer up, Bateman. What's the matter? No shiatsu this morning?

Funny you should ask -- I was just in this position in my recent past. Only, I had 2 weeks off and had to move between states, so my time was much more limited. Personally, I went with a good buddy of mine (another graduating analyst) to Atlantis in Nassau (Bahamas). Spent a week there relaxing on the beach doing absolutely nothing. Also hit up their casino and ended up making a little bit of cash. When I got back, I spent a few days hiking / canoeing in the mountains in a nearby state with my family. Came back, saw some friends I hadn't seen in 2-years and then started work.

Considering my limited time, it was exactly what I needed. With an additional 2-4 weeks off, I definitely would have hit up Europe for a couple of weeks.
