What would you do with more free time in the day?

I know its been touched on already on this site but think this topic actually is all encompassing of the others (ie hobbies/ side hustles/ interests) - to put it briefly, my situation is that I currently am finding myself with a bit of free time and almost a little too much life in the work/life balance area. Be that as it may, and without side commentary about what my job/career is, if you have more time in the day or after work what would you find interesting to do whether it be a side gig to make a few extra bucks, or a new skill to learn, or more philanthropic? Personally I would love to try to start a business or accumulate the knowledge you need to start one, but essentially dont even any ideas to where I would even start / or what industry (Ive looked at maybe a coffee chain, but talking to a friend they seem super competitive and saturated market with relatively low returns). Appreciate the answers.

Very hard question (as I don't know much about you and you don't know much about me and my values / fincancial situation / etc.).

But I'd love to spend more time with the people I care about, and travel more. I'd also like to learn a martial art. But I'm just a guy on an internet forum.

If you're leaning towards starting a business, then unless money is absolutely no object at all, start small. Buy some stuff on Alibaba and distribute it locally, or identify some product you wish existed and find a way to import it or have it manufactured (e.g. through a CDMO). Websites exist where you can hire freelance web developers if you have an idea for a digital product but lack the skills. Don't let your lack of ability to own the whole value chain put you off.

surf, read, and train jiu jitsu every damn day

I'm a wannabe jocko, so sue me

You could move to San Diego and train with Jocko and surf the good waves out there and not this southeast mush.

portugal, spain, and france are more likely if regulations ever lighten up

Right on. I've visited Ericeira, Portugal, but the waves weren't good when I was there. I've also visited Mundaka Spain, but didn't surf. I've surfed Hossegor, France and the waves were amazingly fun.

Spain and Portugal are a freaking dream! Unless you're out on a boat and get banged up by that one pod of Orcas... that's some nightmare material.
