What’re your favorite polo brands?

Recently got some Mizzen+Main and Peter Millar polos. Large Trim Fit for both. They fit well in the chest and arms but are too long to wear without tucking them in (6’2” - I tuck them into pants at the office so not a huge problem).

I thought of returning for a medium but they would be way too tight on my arms. They currently hug the arms with a bit of a stretch but it’s nothing absurd and I like it.

Below the chest, both brands are way too big. They billow around my waist.

The extra fabric doesn’t bother me but it would be nice to have a more form-fitting polo when I don’t wear a vest.

I had never felt the fabric before and am pleased with both brands. It reminds me of a Nike fitted Dri-Fit baseball undershirt. Material has a compression feel to the touch but isn’t that tight on the body.

Brooks Brothers and Ralph Lauren Purple Label.

Regular Ralph Polo's quality varies too much, from being complete shit to very great. Their brand has been diluting since the moment they started selling at outlets and Burlington

What price point you guys talking?

I’m fine with anything without logos, and under $50, so I can replace them every few years as needed no big deal. Generally BR/Jcrew type polos. Large slim fit.

i stopped buying Ralph Lauren over the years. Massive shrinkage, and increasing prices

Mack Weldon is pretty good

The important thing is never to let oneself be guided by the opinion of one's contemporaries; to continue steadfastly on one's way without letting oneself be either defeated by failure or diverted by applause.

Recently I purchased several polos from Arc'teryx.  They're a bit pricey (~$70 per), but they look great, are a blend that's similar to a tech shirt which makes them great for wicking, and are pretty form-fitting if you're slender/have a muscular build.  I'm 6'1" and about 215, and the mediums fit great.  Have gotten numerous compliments on them.

Previously I wore BR almost exclusively.

Gotcha - I might have to start wearing mediums but all depends on the brand and fit. My dress shirts range from 16-16.5 / 35.

I’ve started training my neck pretty rigorously and have found my shirt too tight to button all the way to the top. Never wear a tie anyways so no need, but it’s interesting to see how very few brands make clothes for people in shape

James Perse, Rag and Bone. Not trying to sound douchey but for wearing to cool dinners and on vacation LV actually makes a polo that fits shockingly well (I’m a XXL but most places make it way to big around the gut - meant for obese ppl not athletes). It’s nice and snug around the arms, and avg in the chest/gut. Makes you look yoked.
