I feel that so much. I'd have preferred a text too
I prefer text also. One time I had a close call on my bike and posted the video on Facebook and this guy from my undergrad wanted to call me to talk about it. We were texting, but he was like call me. I called him and then he got my number and now he calls me once a month or so just to 'talk'. I don't like talking to people just to 'talk'. I prefer having an agenda or updates. Still, he calls me and I don't want to talk to him. We have nothing to say.
I like talking to my SO on the phone and that's about it.
For real man unless im talking with a friend who is deployed or something, someone I'm dating, delivery, or my family, 99% can be said over text.
OMG, that's so annoying. I have a few friends who call just to chat. I'm like, you're a MALE!
