Where do allocators rank in terms of prestige
I’m new to this platform, and I’ve been seeing a lot of obsession over the “prestige” concept. I’m intrigued, what is that stuff based on ? Is there a prestige ranking ? Is prestige correlated to salaries or is just reputation ? Enlighten me
I think it varies widely based on company. I had an internship at a large corporate pension fund where the allocators were really just career corporate finance guys. I’ve also heard of smaller regional endowment funds (supposedly) paying over 200 for their first year analysts.
