Honolulu is my hometown, but live in SF now.

For going out:

The District nightclub at Ala Moana Shopping Center is probably the most consistent, so that’s one night. Lot’s of college aged and more local.

For another night, stay in Waikiki, maybe pre-game at Rum Fire bar in the Sheraton Waikiki Hotel and then go to SKY Waikiki for clubbing.  Older crowd and more tourist.

I’m assuming you’re staying on Oahu.

My favorite beach is Makapu’u for bodyboarding / bodysurfing (just be careful, I don’t know if you are good at swimming - safer than Sandy Beach though).  Try to fit in 2 hours there.  I still dream about that place. You can also do the Makapu’u lighthouse trail and if you have time, the tidepools.  Make sure you don’t leave anything valuable in your car.  After a day at the beach, go eat nearby at Kona Brewing Company or if there’s no seats there, Heavely Island restaurant. That to me is a perfect day (and then go clubbing until 2am and then eat at Zippys, and then drunkenly make it to your hotel/home).

Lots of other things to do.
