Would appreciate some advice on where to find SA accommodation in London. Most places I find on websites such as Zoopla and Primelocation require a minimum 6m tenancy. Student accommodation would be a good option but there are none that are close to my office.

It isn’t, you get a monthly discount.
I’m also looking for accommodation this summer, the rationale is to book something through Airbnb for the first 4 weeks and hopefully find someone nice within the bank to share a place for the rest of the placement.

Airbnb longer-term stay is a good suggestion. Another option could be to look through Facebook student and London flat groups. Summer tends to be the time when students need people to stay as their tenancies are 12 months and people want to go away (either back home abroad or on holiday).
You would be able to find a good accommodation for a more affordable rate this way.
