moving to the city in a few weeks. trying to decide between living in midtown or buckhead. consulting so will be gone most weeks, but want to live in a decent area with stuff to do, price under $2k which seems more than doable in either location. any thoughts?

Look into the Concorde in Buckhead. Google it. I have it as my first choice building to live in because of cost, location, height, amenities. Also, a more expensive option with a little more amenities, more modern overall and newer is 05buckhead. See 05buckhead.com. I visited this building and it is awesome. But again, more expensive than The Concorde.

Do you want to live in a walkable area? If so midtown. You may not walk that much but it is the walkable area of Atlanta. Price is comparable for either Buckhead or Midtown
