If you're doing finance stuff you're going to want a Windows laptop. You can't use Bloomberg terminal or a lot of other software on MacOS. For Windows laptops get something portable and looks professional. It's boring but generally stick with HP/Dell/Lenovo. Don't get anything with colorful LEDs or "aggressive" design. Honestly just go to a store and try some out, Costco, Bestbuy, etc. See which one you like and could imagine using and carrying around all day.
bullshit, as someone that's worked at BBG in the past and currently has BBG access I've used the terminal on my MBP many times.
