Which Rolex?

Hey monkeys,

So I'm looking to buy my first Rolex, and I'm not entirely sure which model to get. For years, I've wanted a Submariner, but now that I'm looking I'm also interested in the GMT Master II. The watch will be the basic black bezel. Knowing this, which one would be the best option? I think I'm still leaning towards the sub, but I do live in a different time zone than my family and I can see the appeal of the GMT.
Thoughts?

The main differences are the bezel, 24 hr hand, caseback, crown, and clasp. There is really no wrong choice between the two. I would try them both on to see which one 'feels' better. Sub $10k rollies my personal preferences are the Hulk Submariner (non-cermaic bezel), Batman GMT II, and YM I with the blue dial.
