Which social platform for group work, class-work, etc?

Hey guys,

Which platform engenders the most engagement, in the groups you participate in?

1) group email 2) Google Hang-outs 3) Whatsapp group 4) Facebook group 5) Telegram 6) Slack 7) Wechat 8) something else

I'm in an alumni job-search-support group. a local WSO group, a group for a tech accelerator, a group for my morning workout bootcamp, etc. We set up Slack, but no one uses it. Wechat, Whatsapp, and Telegram, FB have more engagement.
