Who Gets Drunk and Why

Good afternoon folks,

Since this will likely be the toughest work week many of you have ever had, (at least over the past few years) I suspect there will be some serious alcohol pounding this coming weekend. In the hopes of all of you having as much fun and decompression, while doing as little damage to yourselves and your surroundings, as possible, I offer the following Journal article, I'm sure many of you have read already.

So whether you are a former offensive lineman, going ape on a prop desk or a just-an-inch-too-tall to be an official midget, risk management trainee...there's a little something in here for all of you.

Only 36 hours or so to go before you're properly sauced. Countdown after the jump.

I feel like a lot of this should be common nowledge already. Everybody knows about the "one drink every hour" rule. Everyone knows heavier people can drink more.

I guess everyone should take notes for the next WSO Happy Hour!

This week hasn't even made me flinch compared to 2008. In 2008, there was so much fallout, you weren't sure if you were going to come into a work and find padlocks on the door, or if Bank of America's new CEO was going to be Obama. The banks are in a much better position, the housing market still has a lot of shit to work through, but it has already worked through quite a bit.

Sure, the US gov being downgraded is a scary thing, but not nearly as scary as seeing your direct competitors vanish overnight.
