Even if EVERY point made in this were valid and based on irrefutable evidence, this ad is still fearmongering and annoys me because of that. It dehumanizes the Chinese people, reducing them simply to "the enemy," when most of them aren't super pro CCP in terms of political beliefs (most are rather indifferent about politics, another problem entirely). This also appeals to our nationalism way too much, which is both idiotic and dangerous. It's sad to think that ads like this have any success (One of my gung-ho American, conservative friends thinks this ad is 'fucking awesome')

Wait, I may take what I said back, because I guess this kind of sophomoric, under-handed tactic is the only way to incite the majority of people to take action. The ends MAY justify the means in this case.... not entirely made up my mind on it though (GTFO deontologists)

There's a lot of stupid people out there, but if the American system has come to the point that lying to the public and using fear to incite people to action is the only way to do things, then in the big picture, we've already lost.

Do you really believe that China is in a position to overtake us any time soon? And if so, is that because they are that good [I don't see that as true] or because we simply fucked up our own good thing?

StudiofanThis add is the truth with a very strong propaganda undertone.
I was thinking the opposite: it is progaganda with some truth thrown in.
