Will I fail background check?

hey all,

long story short-I accepted an offer and I'm currently going through the background check process conducted by a third party. After providing my w2's I realized I have made an error in my employment history dates.

Start date provided: 10/2014-12/2016 Real Start date: 10/2015-12/2016

I know I should have known my start date, but will the third party understand this was an honest mistake? I really just thought I started in 2014. I've been through background checks by the same party before, but I have never had to provide my w2's, so I honestly never realized what year I started. Please keep in mind I'm a college grad, this was an on-campus part-time position.
