Will We See Apple Original TV Shows?
Apple may be preparing to begin creating original television content for their TV app on iOS. Apple has announced this morning that two former Sony Pictures Television executives that were heavily involved in AMC's "Breaking Bad" and NBC's "The Blacklist," will be joining the Apple team. They will be placed on the internet software and services division under Senior Vice President Eddy Cue.
It seems probable for Apple to shift their model for Apple Music to more of an "all-inclusive" media selection like Amazon Prime. Is this what it takes to separate Apple from rivals like Spotify or Pandora? Will Apple be able to create a quality TV series or does it even make sense for their business model? They provide content so why not create it as well, i'm sure they have the resources to muster up something of quality
