Wisconsin Dems Cave

WSJ: Democrats to End Union Standoff

FINALLY! I bet they wanted their paychecks.

As many of you remember, I wrote a long post on this before, ( BLOG POST) but now that they are coming back from their hideaway liberal bastion, I wonder what you all think of it.

I personally think that their idea that the bill is so unpopular that the Republicans will be forced out is totally wrong. The precedent in other states seems to have been the polar opposite and I feel that the public opinion will be greatly swayed as their fiscal situation increases.

This is what is going to happen. The bill will be passed, people will go home and everyone will forget about it.

Unions will vote against Republicans as they always do. Some people on the fence might also, but most people will vote on other issues. I really cannot see Republicans voting against Walker considering that they elected him and the second their voice was to be heard, Dems simply left the state to stop it.

Unions never have and never will vote Republican so pissing them off does nothing. Leaving the state really made the Dems look bad. They should have stayed, pissed and moaned, fanned the flames, but let this pass. Instead they tried to circumvent Democracy. This will galvanize the Republicans.

Also, polls are pretty worthless. Yeah, when someone calls on the phone people will say stuff, but when it comes time to vote, I don't think Republicans will switch sides over this issue.

That and broke. Either way, they made their point. I think they could of made it while still allowing for Democracy to take its place. If they had stayed and voted I think there position would be better come next election cycle.

The Dems have been such disappointment. The party is a huge contradiction. Their policies have led to huge deficits and their programs have met failure and never meet the goals intended. Now facing fiscal problems they still resist to start solving problems the right way. While their leaders preach another thing. And so and so. This is what i have observed so far.

Do what you want not what you can!

yess i just saw this from wsj hahahaha

I don't accept sacrifices and I don't make them. ... If ever the pleasure of one has to be bought by the pain of the other, there better be no trade at all. A trade by which one gains and the other loses is a fraud.
